For you and for those who does not have the charging posts visible on the We Connect ID app, use the volkswagen official website instead - yes it is a bit tricky but you can still see availability and can filter depending on your need.
I used it last week when I was in Germany.

Um zum Thema zurückzukommen. Es ist ja mittlerweile klar, dass der ID.7 und die 4.0 folgendes kann:

Was aber auch richtig stark ist: Das Auto zeigt immer an, welche Ladeleistung jetzt an der Schnellladesäule zu erwarten ist! Egal, welche Temperatur, egal welcher SoC. Er zeigt es immer an und dann kann man ggf. noch optimieren, wenn man möchte.
Das ist wirklich stark!
Ich hoffe, dass das zeitnah auch im Bestand kommt, aber glaube nicht dran.I think it should also estimate how much energy is going to be spent on the "optimization" process so that I, as a driver, can estimate if I should activate the optimization or not depending on my SoC level.

In the Facebook ID Drivers Club group there was someone who was able to activate the PTC heating (for max. 4 minutes per process) using OBDeleven by "testing" the PTC element. The battery has warmed up by about 1.5 to 2 degrees*. The way to do this was described by another group member: "You just connect to vehicle - which takes 1-2 minutes reading all ecus, then select 8C - battery energy module > Output Test > HV Heater > Activate"
My questions about it:
- Has anyone on this forum tried this before and can share their experiences?
- Is that practicable in everyday winter life, i.e. on a longer journey after maybe one to two hours of driving, bring the battery to a comfortable temperature before driving to the charging station?
- Which version of OBDeleven do you need at least for this? Do you also need an annual package, if so at least which one?
- Question to all the insiders: In the presentation of the ID7, CarManiac showed the software version (4.0.0) including battery preconditioning. Can SW 4.0 also be expected for the existing models of the first hour (ID3 or 4 1st)? I recently asked a question about preconditioning in the above forum and got the answer from the VW administrator that nothing concrete can be said about it yet. Does anyone know more than the VW marketing team can (may) say?

* The coldest element was then 1.25° warmer, the warmest 2.375°. I suspect that this evens out better with repeated use.

I also would like to comment that "Battery Heating Output Test" sometimes works sometimes does not - I do not know why but it is pretty unstable on OBDEleven app - it sometimes allow it to run and sometimes stuck at "Not Active".

Sorry if this is asked before, but I am having trouble with the Map function in the We Connect ID app that does not show any charging points in the map. No matter what I tried it refuses to find any charging network - previously it was showing.
Do you have the same problem and/or solution to this?

I had already considered that with the non-dimming mirrors as a disruptive factor. But other cones of light are always clearly visible to me, but nothing. Maybe I'm spoiled by the fantastic light of the events I've had before, but unfortunately it really doesn't feel like Matrix light. And my wife thinks it's even worse, she doesn't even want to drive in the dark.
I had the menu also briefly, it looked like this:
Do you have the matrix IQ light and had the menu to adjust the height of the light ? In which SW version that was?

Today i try something else and maybe ill get all the 300 sensor information.

Thanks, but I cannot see that the battery temperature is rised ( battery inlet) - it is just a log of 8 minutes.
Can you put the csv file directly. You can edit out the GPS or anything personal of course.
Thank in advance. I am really trying to see if the battery inlet is increased while driving to the charger as you suggested. -

Preconditioning should be possible NOW, but I can't find the article from VW right now (hope they didn't take it out xD) It said
that if the navigation system independently selects a charger over long distances, the battery would be optimally prepared.BUT what I noticed, as already written above, was that the battery temperature rose faster and faster the closer I got to the fast charger selected by the navigation system. Of course, I don't know whether this was due to the "empty battery itself" or the "ominous preconditioning"...
It would also be enough to have a button in the infotainment where I can press: "Precondition the battery" and then have less power and more consumption, as is the case with Tesla, but then really be able to start with 160 KW
